Science Behind the Mask
Years of research and development went into perfecting the Elevation Training Mask, including clinical tests by the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and studies by the American Council on Exercise. The central scientific principle is “Diaphragm Resistance Technology.” This effectively means that the mask promotes increased lung capacity by forcing you to inhale fuller deeper breaths as you train. When your body adapts to the resistance, your lungs begin to transport oxygen more efficiently. Long term result: improved lung and diaphragm strength and increased stamina.

The latest Training Mask offers safe, controlled, precision airflow as it always has, but with a more efficient and convenient adjustment system. With Version 3.0, the valve-and-cap adjustments have been replaced with the patented NXT FORC3 Air Flow Platform, a dial-controlled system right on the mask, offering 6 different levels of elevation intensity. The American-made Elevation Training Mask 3.0 is available in three sizes and features an updated, overmolded composite rubber construction with a streamlined design, covering just the nose and mouth (meaning it won’t hinder visibility). A durable shroud plate protects the airflow system, and an FDA approved, zonal reinforced elastomer offers a natural feel and perfect amount of recoil. For easy cleaning after use, add a bottle of Elevation Mask Cleaning Spray to your order (mask is NOT machine washable).

Much like the 5.11 TacTec Plate Carrier, the Elevation Training Mask is a game-changing accessory that simply amplifies your normal training routine. There aren’t special “Training Mask Exercises” you need to learn. However, there ARE important safety precautions. Most notably, using the mask can require some adjustment / acclamation time. Beginners should start on a lower elevation setting and spend several minutes with basic deep breathing and walking before moving on to other exercises.
